What does ‘ nalising’ a disc do?
Finalising a disc locks the disc so it can no
longer be recorded. This is only required for
DVD±R. It will then be compatible with
virtually any DVD players. To remove a disc
without  nalising it, simply stop recording
and eject the disc. You can still record on
the disc if there is storage space for more
recordings.
How good is the quality of the
recording?
There are a few picture quality levels to
choose from, ranging from ‘HQ’ (1 hour
recording at high quality) to ‘SEP’ (8 hours
recording at VHS quality) on a recordable
DVD.

either fully protected (copy never) or
partially protected (copy once). For copy
once recording, playback is possible but once
copied to a recordable DVD, the recording
will be removed from the HDD.
What is HDMI?
High-De nition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
is a high-speed digital interface that can
transmit uncompressed high de nition video
and digital multichannel audio. It delivers
high quality picture and sound quality,
completely free from noise. HDMI is fully
backward-compatible with DVI.
As required by the HDMI standard,
connecting to HDMI or DVI products
without HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital
Content Protection) will result in no Video
or Audio output.
What is DVB?
Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) is a
standard for digital television maintained by
the DVB Project. This recorder has an
integrated digital TV tuner (DVB-T) that
enables reception of free digital video and
radio broadcasts via a terrestrial antenna. It
offers the best possible digital audio and
video quality.
More stations can be transmitted in the same
frequency band and additional media services
such as city guides, web-content are possible.
The number of these free-to-air stations
might vary from country to country.
