Getting
Information
about a
Waypoint
You can access the Waypoint database by either
looking directly or by using a feature that draws
information from the database, such as using
Emergency Search or creating a Flightplan. This
section will describe going directly into the
database, the other methods of using the waypoint
database will be covered in the sections about the
specific features.
1. In the SL50, press the WPT key. In the SL60,
press the SYS key, turn the Large knob to view
the “Access Database” page, and then press
ENT.

2. Select the waypoint type. Turn the Large knob
one click ccw. Choose Airport (a), VOR (v),
NDB (n), Intersection (i), or User-defined (u)
with the Small knob.

3. Turn the Large knob clockwise one click to
move to the first character of the waypoint name.
Turn the Small knob to select the desired
character.

4. Turn the Large knob clockwise one click to
move to the next character. Turn the Small knob
to select the desired character. Continue to select
the needed characters.
